Additionally, Molotov has the fastest turret rotation speed (8 deg/sec), compared with Aoba (5 deg/sec) and Pensacola (4 deg/sec), therefore she can bear all her guns on a target much easier than the other two. So, actually Molotov has the highest AP DPM among the three. Aoba fires 6 AP shells with 4700 maximum damage per shell every 11 seconds Pensacola fires 10 AP shells with 4600 maximum damage per shell every 15 seconds Molotov fires 9 AP shells with 4400 maximum damage per shell every 12.5 seconds. Her flat trajectory means her shells will face thinner equivalent thickness of armor compared to the other two when they hit the same piece of armor from the same distance. Her raw AP penetration value exceeds Aoba's at point-blank, and is higher than that of Pensacola's starting from 8.7 km and above. Molotov has the best AP penetration power over range among the only three Tier VI cruisers with main battery caliber higher or equal to 180 mm. What makes her different from Kirov is not only the improvements on armor, but also her armaments. Molotov is much more than a "slightly" better Kirov, personally I would call her a worse Dmitri Donskoi instead. Molotov is pretty much a slightly better Kirov, but that isn't saying much since her armor is still paper, and lacking punch on her guns compared to 203mm armed cruisers with similar reload times, but having fantastic shell velocity. Anshan has regular torpedoes compared to her sister ship Fushan, which allow you to play her like a better Gnevny, but otherwise little difference besides some small stat differences like HP, concealment, and rudder shift. Aigle is very similar to it's tech tree counterpart, but it has smoke instead of reload booster, allowing her to play a bit more aggressively with smoke. Type 1940 T-61 is not a bad ship from what I've heard and seen, as her concealment is better than EG by 600m, and has 68 sec base reload on her torpedoes, which is pretty fast for her tier. It turns her into a true torpedo boat with little in ways to defend herself. However, her Hull B has her drop her X and Y turrets for AA guns and larger quintuple torpedo tubes with longer reach, and unlocking torpedo reload. Monhagen is basically a premium Farragut, which is a good ship in it's own right. My Ranking? Perth, Graf Spee, De Grasse, Choung King, Molotov.įubuki is basically Fubuki Ayanami with her full gun complement with 3x2 A-XY format on top of her torpedoes at tier VI: This makes her pretty deadly to other DDs at her tier since her alpha is pretty high per one salvo, but acquiring her requires completion of the Honorable Service Campaign, making her rather exclusive and rare. Choung King is an apocryphal modified Arethusa class cruiser Aurora, with a pointless torpedo reload booster, and creeping smokescreen: she lacks DPM and HP compared to Perth, which is a full fledged Leander class cruiser with an additional turret and slightly more HP and comes with spotter plane on top of the creeping smokescreen. De Grasse isn't anything special from what I've seen, being a usual run of the mill fast, lightly armed and armored CL and doesn't bring anything really interesting to the table. Graf Spee is a different type of cruiser that doesn't play like any other cruiser our there: she plays like a mid-line harrasser, able to smack cruisers, and penetrate BB armor, but lacks DPM versus DDs. If I would have to rank them? Warspite, Maryland, Mutsu, Arizona, PEF, Dunkerque.ĬL/CAs a bit lacking at tier VI IMO. Dunkerque is in a similar suite to PEF, being a battlecruiser at heart, but having her guns all forward, like Richelieu/Jean Bart. PEF is also good from what I've seen, as well as looking at her stats and how accurate her guns are compared to the competition, albeit lacking number for 350's and having battlecruiser armor. I have both Maryland and Dunkerque, but I've yet to play them since I've been focusing on grinding out some lines. Out of all the BBs, I like Warspite the best, but Arizona and Mutsu are both pretty strong picks with their high accuracy. BB: Mutsu, Arizona, West Virginia 1941 Maryland, Prinz Ediel Friedrich, Warspite, and DunkerqueĬL/CA: Molotov, Graf Spee, De Grasse, Huang He Choung King, and PerthĭDs: Shinomme Fubuki, Monhagen, Type 1940 T-61, Aigle, and Anshan
